We caught up with our head colourist, Giacomo, to ask some of your burning questions about colour right now. What advise have you got for a client worried about root regrowth? Balayage can be a very good option and an opportunity to move away from more traditional colour technique such hi-lighting and tints. You can also minimise your root regrowth by choosing a shade very close to your base colour. What colours are you seeing on trend in the salon right now? Ash blondes are in at the moment and our colour house, Schwarzkopf Professional have some beautiful shades. What should a client think about for their consultation? Consultations are very important for us to spend time looking at the colour options to achieve the look you are after and includes a skin patch test to avoid any issues. We are highly trained to also consider your skin and eye colour to help suggest colours that would compliment you, but if you can bring a picture of hair styles, colours and colour techniques you like, as they always help to get a better idea of what you want to achieve. What tips have you got for colour care at home? We always recommend Philip Kingsley Elasticizer and we will prescribe you a colour friendly shampoo and conditioner to help lock the colour in. What advise have you got for those with damaged hair to help restore the health of their hair? We offer a Schwarzkopf FibrePlex treatment which restore health to your hair and then allows us to colour the hair. Occassionally, we may need to do a course of treatments to rectify issues and prevent breakage before completing any further colouring service. It’s important to have your hair look it’s best.
