Recognised as the home of fashion, Paris Haute Couture offers some of the most beautiful, show-stopping designs. Fashion’s finest, celebrities and VIPs gather to watch designers unveil the latest looks for AW19.

INANCH LONDON followed the catwalks at Paris Haute Couture Week selecting our favourite hairstyles and trends. Up do’s are in, which is great timing as the UK’s hottest summer continues. Whether you opt for a classic glamorous up do or a looser bun during the day, up do’s are a great way to add instant style and glamour to an outfit. (We loved the looks from Celia Kritharioti, Pamella Rowland and Valentino’s shows).

Anyone who isn’t as confident can opt for a ponytail, which is also very in this season. Models walking in Iris van Herpen’s show wowed with creative ponytails, splitting the hair into various sections and tying together in parts, giving a modern, youthful twist. Hair accessories were everywhere, from flowers to bejewelled headpieces; hair accessories are an easy way to add some excitement to your hairstyle.

For shows that had models wearing their hair down it was all about long, sleek locks. Most stylists kept models hair minimal, with lots of volume at the roots and the rest of the hair flowing freely. Simple but chic, this hair is extremely feminine and easy to recreate. (You can spot some of our favourite examples of this in Christophe Josse, and Giambattista Valli’s shows).

We have selected our two favourite hairstyles for this summer and have explained how to recreate the looks below:

Christophe Josse

The hairstyles created for Christophe Josse Paris Haute Couture A/W2 show were beautiful, with a real sense of innocence. The hair was modern with a feminine twist, complementing the clothes contemporary shapes.

The perfect hairstyles to take you from day to night, Inanch Emir explain how to re-create these stylish looks at home:

First of all begin by washing the hair and use INANCH LONDON’s Gold Class leave in conditioner for super soft locks. Next blow-dry using R&Co’s Dallas Thickening Spray, which will give great volume at the roots and controlled ends with a fantastic natural hold and a beautiful glossy shine.

Next split the hair into diagonal sections starting from the front of the hairline and use a crimping iron to create more volume. Once you have finished crimping, separate the crimped sections slightly, so that the hair falls softly and opens up around the face.

And there you have it – a beautiful look taken directly from Paris couture catwalk!

Celia Kritharioti

The look for Celia Kritharioti Haute Couture AW19 show was inspired by Glamorous 1940’s era with a paired back, minimalistic sleek feel. Think gowns of black, gold and white in silk and velvet with sheer trouser-and-tunic combo steaming with dazzling beads. Models graced the catwalks with elegant up do’s which were accessorised with stunning black feathers.

These powerful hairstyles are guaranteed to get attention and are ideal for any special occasion this summer. To recreate this look, begin by prepping the hair with INANCH LONDON’s Gold Class protein conditioning spray.

Then blow-dry the hair using a brush, we would recommend our Gold Class Thermal Super Brush, ensuring you follow the same direction to create a sleek and smooth finish.

Next use INANCH LONDON’s Gold Class pintail comb to split your hair into three sections around the front of the hairline, which will later be pin rolled. Tie up the remaining hair into a tight high ponytail on top of the crown of the head; use our Gold Class Argan Oil serum to smooth the ends. Ensuring thatyou keep height and tension in the ponytail, tie it tightly half way down at the nape of the head.

Add some texture powder to the ends of the hair to give extra grip and texture, then begin to roll the ends of the hair into a sleek barrel roll, tucking neatly onto the nape of the head. Then repeat the process with sections of hair at the front of the head and sides.

If you’re heading out for a dramatic evening look you can mimic the styles worn by models at the show by adding some black feathers or a headpiece. Or for a more pared back ethereal summer look, add some flowers or light hair accessories. To finish the look, add some serum and shine spray to give the hair a glossy, glass-like look.

We would recommend trying the first look for a summer’s day out and the latter for a special occasion. Hairstyle can update an outfit in an instant, so be bold with your look. Hair accessories are huge at the moment, adding a flower; feather, ribbon or headband is an easy way to add some fun to a classic hairstyle.
