The Inanch London team was delighted to be the backstage hair sponsor for some amazing shows this season at Pitti Immagine Uomo Florence. A huge event attracting over 30,000, Pitti Uomo is fast becoming one of the most important global platform for men’s fashion, accessories and style. Here we break down the looks behind the designer shows.

IED PITTI FLORENCE

Tuesday 11th June 2019

The Istituto Europeo di Design (IED) together with Detox – CID and Greenpeace Italia showcased five eco-friendly collections. Put together by 15 creatives selected from IED’s third year, under the creative direction of David Parisi and Alessia, former IED Students, and co-founders of the Cassamadre brand. The show was presented in the stunning Corte-Courtyard areas of the Palazzina Reale in Florence.

The collections were made using fabrics supplied by the companies involved in Detox and selected as a result of the use of processes that are attentive to the environment, starting with the elimination of dangerous substances from their production cycles in accordance with Greenpeace’s Detox principles; moreover many of these fabrics were produced using recycled materials.

Key Artist, Inanch Emir, wanted to complement the collections with super healthy looking hair with lots of natural movement and shine.

To achieve this Inanch and the team worked with each model’s individual style, creating slightly wet looks and beautiful bouncy curls.

Prep: For the curls, Inanch worked in R+Co’s Twister Curl Primer, hair was gentle diffused or finger dried according to hair type. For straighter styles, the hair was damped down and blow-dried without tools to keep the natural movement.

Hold: These styles need to have a natural feel but also hold all day in the hot Italian sun. R+Co’s Jackpot was applied for a gentle hold, for wetter looks more product was layered to add weight and leave beautiful sheen.

Finish: Styles were brushed or comb into place using and to really amp up the shine, all looks were finished with Gold Class Hair’s Protein spray.

SSAW Magazine “I Go Out” Collection

Pitti Immagine presented its first fashion show dedicated to the brands of I GO OUT, the exhibition project that provides a unique interpretation of the contemporary man’s outdoor style. On the runway, 24 total looks were matched with their own special landscape backdrops, with each one dedicated to a specific brand. On show were a selection of collections from around the world that capably combine style and performance, functionality, comfort and design ambition; while technical know-how and a passion for outdoor sports met the most advanced stylistic research and sophisticated design.

The brands: 24bottles, And Wander, Arys, Casa Marina Lab, Danner Déplacé, Descente Allterrain, Goldwin, Gramicci, Harvest Label, Heimplanet, Hi-Tec, Hoka One One Sky, Isaora, Mountain Research, Nomadic State Of Mind, Ræburn, Riz, Sease, Snow Peak, Sundek Golden Wave, Teva, Topo Designs, Woolrich Outdoor and Diemme.

The look for the SSAW ‘I Go Out” show was Wet, Wet, Wet, to add drama and mood to this amazing collection.

Prep: Inanch started by damping down the hair with a prep spray followed by gently blow-drying to flattering out any fly away hairs.

For Afro styles, the hair was coax into place with a wide toothcomb and finished with Gold Class Protein Spray for conditioning and to add shine.

Hold: For the super wet styles, Inanch and the team careful worked through R+Co’s Jackpot styling crème section by section to ensure full coverage.

Finish: Styles were combed down over the models faces and wet look gel added where necessary.

The Key emerging trend for this season, I’m sure you’ll agree that the wet look is a winner and with the right products can be achieved with lots of different hair types and styles!
